Antholz

Cross-country ski paradise

There are 40 km of well-groomed cross-country ski trails winding through the entire Gsieser Tal valley, with two tracks for classic skiing and ample space for skate skiers in the middle. From time to time, however, there is not enough natural snow! Therefore artificial snow is produced by several pumping stations along the Gsieser Tal trail and then distributed by tractors. On some days up to 1,000 cubic meters of artificial snow are produced. Snow cats then spread the snow into a smooth surface.
